Brand New...
So, I this is the deal. I love writing my other blog, From Nate's Noggin, and of course I do my film reviews in print and my podcast, The Freaking Film Fanatic. However, when I started that blog, I wanted to use writing prompts to help me become a better writer. But, when I started FNN, I haven't ever had a hard time thinking of things to write about. Sometimes they just jump into my head and I have to write them. I do feel bad though. I have started a lot of blogs on FNN, but haven't finished them yet, mainly due to time.
Now, I don't know if any of you out there would care to read anything past FNN or The FFF, but I still wanted to put this out there for others to read. There is a writing project called Nanorimo, I think is how it is spelled, but it's probably wrong. The idea is that every November, you try to write at least 1,000 words a day, and work on a novel, a blog, or whatever. This is going to be the blog that will have me stretching my mind and emotions into different ways. When I started FNN, I said in the very first post that I was starting that blog to do what I want to do with this blog. I promise that I will still be writing and posting FNN and The FFF, but it will be more about things that come to me, and not exactly a writing assignment.
With this blog, I will be telling stories from the past, or make things up. This is the blog I intended to make, but I have loved doing FNN so much, that I figured that I would rather have the writing prompt assignments on this one. I know not many people will read it, which is great. This one is mostly for me, but I think that there can be a lot of really fun things happening in this blog if you care to read.
I also wanted you all to know that I won't be posting on Facebook when I have a new entry for this blog, like I do for FNN and The FFF. I don't want to be annoying, and bugging you to read my stuff. This blog might take some really weird turns, but I think that for me, this is about me learning to be a better writer. I mentioned in a post over on FNN, that I have been writing a choose your own adventure style book for anyone who wants to read it. It's really fun writing, but I think doing these writing prompts will help me when I get writer's block. It happens often, but when I am given a certain thing to write about, I usually don't get writer's block, so I think it will be therapy for my writer's block.
Anyway, that's it for this post. I will be writing a lot, I hope. If there is something I really like that I write, maybe I will link it on Facebook or emails, but I won't hound anyone. Until next time, ummm, until....ummm, uhhh, Dang it! I have writers block. I can't find a way to end this post.........
